Fiscal Impact/Change to Net County Cost: None. Funding is available in the Sheriff's Civil Equipment Special Revenue Fund #7724309.
Background: On 5/8/07, your Board approved the expenditure of Civil Equipment Special Revenue Funds for the purchase of a new computer server for the Siron Software Civil Program. The upgrade of this server has resulted in the need to upgrade the desktop computers for the three (3) staff working in the Sheriff's Civil division.
Reason for Recommendation: The Sheriff's IT Manager has recommended replacing the old desktops because they are unable to accomodate the needs of the updated software and faster server.
Action to be taken following Board approval: The Auditor will process the attached Budget Transfer Request appropriating funding in the Civil Equipment Special Revenue Fund and the Sheriff's Civil operating budget; the approved fixed asset (computer) list for the Sheriff will be increased by 3 desktop computers; Sheriff staff will work with Purchasing to order the computers.
