Transportation Department recommending the following pertaining to Regional Surface Transportation Program Exchange Funding:
(1) Authorize Director of said Department to sign and submit a claim to the El Dorado County Transportation Commission in the amount of $665,106 of currently available Regional Surface Transportation Program Exchange funds; and
(2) Authorize Director of said Department to sign and submit a claim to the El Dorado County Transportation Commission in the amount of $400,224 of future Regional Surface Transportation Program Exchange funds for an overlay to Cold Springs Road.
RECOMMENDED ACTION: Approve.

Background:
The EDCTC has allocated El Dorado County $1,065,033 in RTSP funds to perform road rehabilitation. To access these funds, the County must submit claims to the EDCTC. The Department proposes to submit two separate claims to the EDCTC to expedite the receipt of funds.
The first claim will be for $665,106 to reimburse the County for monies already spent on the Starbuck Road Overlay project and the Mother Lode Two Way Left Turn Lane project.
The second claim will be for $400,224. This claim is for monies not yet spent, but programmed for an overlay on Cold Springs Road. Since the EDCTC will only fund claims on a reimbursement basis, the DOT will not submit this claim until the monies have been expended.
Action to be taken following Board approval:
1) DOT will immediately submit a claim signed by the Director of Transportation to the El Dorado County Transportation Commission for $665,106 of RSTP Exchange funds; and
