Background:

The County requires for the purposes of health and safety the residents of an unnamed private road that exceeds 500 feet in length to name their road. The residents unanimously desire to name their road Bucks Bar Court.

Reason for Recommendation:

The residents have received approvals from the fire department and the post office to use the name Bucks Bar Court. No other road intersects this unnamed road except Bucks Bar Road. We have 471 private and 61 county maintained roads that exceed 500 feet in length using court as a suffix. The Surveyor is in the process of revising the ordinance to include practical solutions that may include the Board of Supervisors approval when necessary.
