Fiscal Impact/Change to Net County Cost: Cost to be absorbed by the affected department's budget.
Background/Reason for Recommendation: A personnel action currently in process in another El Dorado County department has the potential for a conflict of interest. Under these circumstances, it is advisable to retain an outside attorney to handle the matter for the County, as has been done in similar situations in the past.
Action to be taken following Board approval: Board Chair will sign the Agreement for Legal Services with copies for County Counsel and Renne, Sloan, Holtzman & Sakai, LLP.
