Background: The Mental Health Department and Black Oak Mine Unified School District (BOMUSD) are partners in the Safe Schools/Healthy Students Program. This grant funded program allows Mental Health to provide qualified therapists to work with individual students and their families in the BOMUSD. When the school district was awarded the grant, it included a laptop computer for program use. The school district has offered to give the laptop to Mental Health to facilitate services under the program.
 
Reason for Recommendation:Use of the laptop will allow Mental Health to more effectively deliver services for the Safe Schools/Healthy Students Program.
 
Action to be taken following Board approval:Board Clerk's Office will forward a copy of the approved Agenda Item Transmittal to Mental Health Department.
