Fiscal Impact/Change to Net County Cost:  None.  Both the Sheriff's Office and the Probation Department have budgeted for these costs in their FY07/08 approved budgets and will continue to budget for these services through 10/31/2010.

Background:  The County has historically contracted for these services, but the contractual amount only included Sheriff facilities and the Purchasing Agent had the authority to sign the Agreement

Reason for Recommendation:  With the addition of the Juvenile Treatment Center in South Lake Tahoe, and the multiple year contract, the dollar amount for these services now exceeds the Purchasing Agent's authority to sign the Agreement, and your Board's approval of the annual Agreement is required.

Action to be taken following Board approval:  The Chair will sign Agreement #117-S0811
