Fiscal Impact/Change to Net County Cost:
The Latrobe Road Widening Project (72403), Phase 2, including the subject property acquisition costs of $1.00 for the fee title and $700.00 for the title and escrow fees, for a total of $701.00, will be paid from prepaid traffic impact mitigation fees paid by the Valley View Development. There is no cost to the County General Fund.

Background:
The El Dorado County Department of Transportation (DOT) proposes to improve a portion of the Latrobe Road corridor in and near the community of El Dorado Hills. The project limits are on Latrobe Road between Suncast Lane and Golden Foothill Parkway. The subject parcel is located on the east side of Latrobe Road.

Reason for Recommendation:
The Department of Transportation previously acquired a slope easement from EID for the construction of the Latrobe Road Widening Project, Phase 1. However, the Phase 2 project improvements include the construction of a sidewalk in the slope easement area, and it is the preference of both EID and the County that the County acquire this area in fee, to appropri...
