Background: On April 8, 2003, your Board created an Approval Authority to distribute Homeland Security Grant funds to local entities.  This Approval Authority has approved the disbursement of an additional $12,000 to the City of South Lake Tahoe for reimbursement for the purchase of a command vehicle.

Reason for Recommendation: As an entity that receives Homeland Security Grant funds, the City of South Lake Tahoe expended some of their own funds on the purchase of this command vehicle.  This Amendment I will allow the County to use some remaining funds in the FY 2006 Homeland Security Grant to reimburse the City for their expense.

Action to be taken following Board approval: City of South Lake Tahoe has invoiced the County for the funds, and will be paid following this Board action.
