Background:  On October 3, 2006, agenda item #23, the Board approved that an emergency condition existed at the South Lake Tahoe Jail Facility as a result of the failure of the closed circuit television and intercom systems. the Board also made a finding that, in accordance with County Ordinance Code 3.14.060, the County may dispense with competitive bidding requirements to immediately secure assistance from an outside vendor to perform the necessary emergency work. The Board additionally authorized the Purchasing Agent to issue a purchase order for the "like" replacement of equipment and installation.

Reason for Recommendation: The emergency work has been substantially completed and request the Board accept the emergency work performed at the South Lake Tahoe Jail Facility and terminate the action taken on October 3, 2006  agenda item #23, as an emergency condition existing at the South Lake Tahoe Jail Facility.
