Fiscal Impact/Change to Net County Cost:
Funding in the amount of $129,500 has been included in the Department of Transportation's (Department) Five-Year Capital Improvement Program and Fiscal Year 2008-09 budget. The Department anticipates budgeting the remaining $62,500 in the Fiscal Year 2009-10 budget. There is no Net County Cost.

Reason for Recommendation:
The California Tahoe Conservancy (CTC) Amendment 1 to grant Agreement CTA-07007 is a Site Improvement grant augmentation, which will provide $192,000 in additional grant funding to be used for portions of the construction and monitoring of the Angora Fire Emergency Rehabilitation Projects, Zones A, B and D (Project), and will extend the expiration date of the grant Agreement from June 30, 2010 to June 30, 2012 for this new funding increment. The CTC Governing Board approved the subject grant Amendment at its May 16, 2008 meeting. This grant Amendment will be funded under the CTC’s Soil Erosion Control Grants Program.

The Project area is located in eastern El Dorado County, west of Highway 50, near Meyers. The Project site is roughly bounded by Lake Tahoe Boulevard to the west and Washoe Meadows State Park to the east.
