Probation Department recommending Chairman be authorized to sign Agreement 383-S0811 with Tahoe Youth and Family Services in an amount not to exceed $120,000 for a term of two years to provide one (1) Program Therapist for on-site counseling services and support at the Juvenile Treatment Center in South Lake Tahoe.

The Probation Department has budgeted $60,000.00 in FY 07/08 for these services. No effect on Net County Cost as a result of this Board action.
Background:
On November 15, 2005 the Board approved establishment of a Juvenile Ranch/Camp and authorized for Chief Probation Officer to sign Juvenile Probation Camps Funding (JPCF) Program Agreement with Corrections Standards Authority.
Tahoe Youth and Family Services will make available a "Program Therapist" (one FTE counselor) who will provide on-site counseling, services and support to the Challenge Program, Substance Abuse Counseling Program, and Family Reunification Program operated by the Probation Department located at the Juvenile Treatment Center in South Lake Tahoe. Counseling services will include individual and group counseling, family reunification services, Lifeskills, drug and alcohol counseling, and anger management.
