Reason for Recommendation:
The Contract for the Green Valley Road Widening - County Line to Francisco Drive Project (Project) on Green Valley Road from County Line to Francisco Drive and El Dorado Hills Boulevard at Crown Drive intersection in the El Dorado Hills area of El Dorado County was executed by the Board on May 30, 2006. The Project was substantially completed on August 8, 2007.

The Board actions above will start legal time frames for guarantees, a lien period, and return of retention monies. Lorang Brothers Construction, Inc. acceptance of the final Contract cost is attached and summarized below:

Construction Contract Item Cost $6,825,289.13
Contract Change Orders $181,327.44
Final Cost of Construction $7,006,616.57

Major Contract Change Orders on the Project dealt with traffic control, paving a portion of Mormon Island Drive, profile grinding at Mormon Island Drive and Brown's Ravine, and cross slope grinding at Green Valley Road.
