Title
Chief Administrative Office recommending the Board receive and file a report outlining contracts with Pacific Municipal Consultants, Inc.
Body

Background:
On September 18, 2007 (item #9 from Development Services Department) the Board approved a contract with Pacific Municipal Consultants in the amount of $60,795 for the preparation of an Environmental Impact Report (EIR) for 76 Gas Station and Circle K Mini-Mart DR00-11A and directed staff to return to the Board with a summary outlining the number of PMC contracts and amendments, the department managing the contract, the dollar amount, purpose and term of said contracts.

The attached table outlines current PMC contracts as well as those in process.

PMC contracts 343-S0711 for FAR/MUD related services and 345-S0711 for CEQA/CIP Plan Review services expired this summer.  New contracts have been prepared that will encompass services provided since the expiration of the original contracts and will be submitted to the Board as separate agenda items for approval.  Due to the critical nature of the services provided under these contracts, the Development Services Director has continued to use the consultant in order to ensure timely completion of activities identified in the original contracts.

PMC contract #558-S0611 for as-needed plan review services expired on October 24, 2007.  The Development Services Department has been working with the Procurement and Contracts Division to complete a Request for Qualifications process to identify the best qualified vendors for future contract needs.  The department anticipates bringing specific contract recommendations for these services to the Board in early 2008.

Additionally, PMC acts as a sub consultant on contracts with EN2 Resources (Development Services Oak Woodlands Management Plan project) and DMJM Harris (Department of Transportation Cameron Park Drive/US 50 Interchange project).
