Fiscal Impact/Change to Net County Cost:
There is no Fiscal Impact associated with this item.  There is no Net County Cost.
 
Reason for Recommendation:
The Contract for the Christmas Valley Phase 1 Erosion Control and Stream Environment Zone Restoration Project (Project) was executed by the Board on June 19, 2007.  The Project was substantially completed on November 2, 2007.  
 
The Board actions above will start legal time frames for guarantees, a lien period, and return of retention monies.  V & C Construction, Inc. acceptance of the final Contract cost is attached and summarized below:
 
Original Bid Price:                          $835,232.20
Construction Contract Item Cost:  $834,629.80   
Contract Change Orders:                 $ 29,682.00
Final Cost of Construction:       $864,311.80
 
Major Contract Change Orders on this Project dealt with the additional rock dissipator, erosion control blanket, geogrid geotextile fabric, and concrete curb.
 
Action to be taken following Board approval:
1) The Chairman will sign the Notice of Completion.
2) The Board Clerk will send the Notice of Completion to the Recorder/Clerk's Office for recordation and forward a copy to the Department.
