RECOMMENDED ACTION: Planning Commission recommending the Board take the following actions: 1. Adopt the mitigated negative declaration, as prepared; 2. Adopt the mitigation monitoring program in accordance with CEQA Guidelines, Section 15074(d), incorporated as conditions of approval in Attachment 1; 3. Approve Z06-0038 rezoning Assessor's Parcel Number 109-161-01 from Limited Multifamily Residential-Planned Development (R2-PD) to Estate Residential Five-acre (RE-5), based on the findings listed on Attachment 2; and 4. Approve S98-0013R, subject to the conditions listed on Attachment 1, based on the findings listed on Attachment 2.
Background: These applications were first considered by the Planning Commission on October 25, 2007. After considerable testimony, the Commission continued the project to the meeting of November 8, 2007, to allow staff time to modify the conditions. At the November 8, 2007, meeting, the Commission unanimously moved to recommend approval of the applications, with modified conditions.
During the hearing on October 25, 2007, input was received from Danica Olivo, Tom Yancy, Nancy Lee Getman, Steven Jones, Mr. Givens, Angela Johnson, Sam Terresi, and Kathie Evans. The individuals did not seem to be concerned with the expansion of the church but with the development of the multi-purpose ball field.
