RECOMMENDED ACTION:  Planning Commission recommending the Board take the following action: 1. Adopt the mitigated negative declaration, as prepared; 2.  Adopt the mitigation monitoring program contained in Attachment 1, conditions of approval; 3. Approve AZ05-0001 rezoning Assessor's Parcel Number 083-020-29 from Estate Residential Ten-acre-Airport Safety (RE-10-AA) to Planned Commercial-Airport Safety-Design Control (CP-AA-DC), based on the findings and subject to the modified conditions listed on Attachment 1; and 4. Approve P05-0010, based on the findings and subject to the modified conditions listed on Attachment 1.
 
Staff had recommended that the Commission add the Design Control (DC) overlay to the zoning; and the Commission concurred.
 
Background: This project was considered by the Planning Commission on November 8, 2007, and unanimously recommended for approval.  Judy Mathat, Shingle Springs/Cameron Park Chamber of Commerce and Economic Development Chair, supported the project as did Kim Beal, resident of Cameron Park, and Jeannie Valentine, representative of the Bowling Association.  No one spoke in opposition. No new significant issues were discussed other than those in the staff report.
