Fiscal Impact/Change to Net County Cost: Total grant award spans two County fiscal years, beginning January 1, 2008 and ending December 31, 2008. $51,696 is currently budgeted for FY 2007-08. The remaining amount of the grant award will be budgeted in FY 2008-09. There is a County match requirement; however, that amount of $20,717 is covered by in-kind services funded by index code 404112. There is no net County cost.

Background: The purpose of the CDCI program is to provide direct court supervision, regular drug screening, and direct clients to appropriate substance abuse treatment services.

Reason for Recommendation: Public Health receives funding through the CDCI Agreement with the State to provide Drug Court services, in collaboration with the Superior Court, for the youth of El Dorado County and their families who are struggling with drug and/or alcohol addiction. The attached agreement awards funding to the County in the amount of $42,790 for the Juvenile CDCI program, and $60,796 for the Adult Felony CDCI program, totaling $103,586. Thi...
