Title: Transportation Department Director requesting authorization to sign an Agreement to Perform Tariff Schedule Related Work with Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E) in the amount of $267,291 for underground utility relocation for the Latrobe Road Widening, Phase 2 Project 72403; and recommending authorization for payment to PG&E for said Project. RECOMMENDED ACTION: Approve. FUNDING: The provisions of the Funding, Credit, and Reimbursement Agreement between West Valley, LLC, and the County of El Dorado require that the developer of West Valley advance fund the construction of the Latrobe Road Project through the prepayment of El Dorado Hills Traffic Impact Mitigation (TIM) fees. A bond was issued and a portion of the proceeds were used to prepay $23 million in El Dorado Hills TIM fees. These prepaid fees are held in a segregated fund and will be utilized to fund the Latrobe Road and White Rock Road improvements, which include this utility relocation.

The Latrobe Road Widening Project, Phase 2, including the subject Tariff Schedule Related Work with PG&E will be paid from prepaid TIM fees paid by the Valley View development.
 
Background:
 
The El Dorado County Department of Transportation (DOT) proposes to improve a portion of the Latrobe Road corridor in and near the community of El Dorado Hills.   The project limits are on Latrobe Road, between Suncast Lane and Golden Foothill Parkway, including the construction of a new bridge over Carson Creek.
 
Reason for Recommendation:
 
At El Dorado County's expense , PG&E will relocate existing underground electrical conduits and boxes due to the road improvement work along Latrobe Road.  El Dorado County and PG&E have previously entered into a Joint Use Agreement regarding utility easements and right of way for the new location of PG&E facilities, as set forth in the Agreement and the Exhibit 1 attached thereto.
 
Action to be taken following Board approval:
 
1. Director of the Department of Transportation to sign the Agreement to Perform Tariff Schedule Related Work with PG&E, in duplicate.
 
2. Upon return receipt of the fully executed Agreement from PG&E, payment to be made to PG&E in the amount of $267,291.00.
