Fiscal Impact/Change to Net County Cost: There is no fiscal impact associated with the filing of a Notice of Completion.
 
Background: On May 22, 2007, Item No. 51, your Board awarded a bid for Obstruction Removal Grading, Taxilane Paving, Service and Emergency Access Road Construction at the Placerville airport  to the lowest qualified bidder,  Ford Construction Company, with a Notice to Proceed commencing on June 18, 2007.  The contract (Agreement No. 025-C0899) was executed by the Board June 7, 7007 in the amount of $1,639,235.00.  On November 7, 2007, Change Order No. 1 was executed for this project in the amount of $23,173.30 for a new not to exceed project amount of $1,662,408.30.
 
Reason for Recommendation: The project has now been completed.
 
Action to be taken following Board approval:
1. Chairman will sign the Notice of Completion.
2. Board Clerk will send the Notice of Completion to the Recorder Clerk's office for recording and forward a copy to the Department of General Services.  Thirty-five (35) days after recording, General Services will release retentions to Ford Construction Company.
