Title: General Services Department recommending Chairman be authorized to sign Fixed Base Operator, Airport Lease Agreement 689-L0811 with Stancil Aviation in the amount of $1,574.54 per month, commencing March 1, 2008 and ending on February 29, 2012 for a hangar commonly designated as County hangar CH-01, including office space designated as building B-02 which is approximately 564 square feet and approximately 880 square feet of undeveloped land which is currently occupied by an existing modular office and six (6) parking spaces. Fiscal Impact/Change to Net County Cost: The county will see a revenue increase of $18,894.00 per year.

Background: The Placerville Airport currently leases hangars to numerous individuals and receives revenue for approximately 104 hangars. This particular commercial hangar became available when the previous tenant decided not to renew his lease. General Services staff worked with the Chief Administrative Office, Division of Procurements and Contracts and developed a Request For Proposal (RFP) to find a new tenant. The RFP was advertised and released in July, 2007. Three proposals were received. The proposals were evaluated in a competitive process and it was determined that the selected proposal offered the County the best combination of lease revenue, tenant improvements and compatible operations.

Reason for Recommendation: To increase county revenue by leasing an existing county owned facility and to continue to provide revenue to support airport operations.
