Background: Applicant Pennie L. Brown, doing business as Chrystal Wolf, has submitted an application for a psychic-medium / spiritual counselor business in Shingle Springs. At this time, there is only one other active business license for fortunetelling in the unincorporated areas of El Dorado County, located in the Placerville area.
Reason for Recommendation: Pursuant to Business License Ordinance 5.14.070, an application for a fortunetelling business license shall be expressly authorized by the County Board of Supervisors. Pursuant to the same ordinance, Sheriff Neves has filed a written report, stating no objection to the issuance of the business license to the applicant. (Image attached.)
The Tax Collector's Office has reviewed the application and the Sheriff's recommendation and does not object to the issuance of the license.
Action to be taken following Board approval: Upon payment of the $130.00 application fee, the business license will be issued to Pennie L. Brown, dba Chrystal Wolf, for a period of one year.
