Background: This is the fifth year that the "Latrobe School Fun Run/Walk 5K" event is being held and is sponsored by the Latrobe School District Parent Teacher Club. Proceeds of this fundraising event will benefit the children of Latrobe School and Millers Hill School. Requested road closures are for the safety of the participants, volunteers and spectators along the course.
Reason for Recommendation: The Department of Transportation is recommending Board approval of the closure to allow for the safety and success of this community event. Other involved agencies have made no objections to this closure.
Action to be taken following Board approval: The roads listed in the Resolution will be closed on Saturday, April 26, 2008, between 7:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. for the "Latrobe School Fun Run/Walk 5K" event.
