Chief Administrative Office, Procurement and Contracts Division,  recommending the Board declare a weapon as surplus and approve the transfer of a duty weapon to a retired District Attorney's Office employee.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:  Approve.

Reason for Recommendation:  District Attorney Investigator, Paul Fisher recently retired and desires to buy his duty weapon for replacement value.  The weapon would normally be used as a trade-in.  The weapon is as follows with quoted resale value by Big Horn Gunshop, El Dorado, California:  Glock 40 caliber semi auto handgun, serial number EWL912 with three magazines, value of $300.00.  Legal transfer of ownership will be done through Big Horn Gunshop at no cost to the county.
 
Fiscal Impact:  The District Attorney's Office will receive the funds paid by the retired employee.
 
Action to be taken following approval:  Upon approval of the recommendation, the Procurement and Contract Division will process the necessary surplus property transfer request, and the District Attorney's Office shall execute sale of the weapon through Big Horn Gunshop.
