Fiscal Impact/Change to Net County Cost:  None.  The Sheriff's FY07/08 and FY08/09 operating budgets contain funding for these services.  The total not to exceed for the original agreement plus all amendments is $40,000.
 
Background: The Sheriff's Office periodically needs to have pediatric evidentiary examinations conducted as part of a criminal investigation.  Neither of the hospitals located in El Dorado County has the equipment or court-certified expertise to conduct these types of examinations, so the Sheriff's Office utilizes the University of California at Davis Medical Center.
 
Reason for Recommendation:  Extending the term of the Agreement through September 30, 2008, replacing rate schedule.
 
Action to be taken following Board approval:  The Chair will sign the Amendment
