Sufficient funds are available to provide for the acquisition costs, consisting of title and escrow fees of approximately $1,500. The acquisition costs will be funded through the Road Fund.

Background:
As part of the large lot Subdivision H-81, recorded on 2/25/94, Lot CC was reserved for the future expansion of Silva Valley Parkway. Currently, the County of El Dorado needs to make improvements to the inlet of a culvert located adjacent to and east of Silva Valley Parkway, within the boundaries of Lot CC. Serrano Associates LLC, has agreed to convey, in fee title, the strip of land adjacent to Silva Valley Parkway known as Lot CC, and executed a Grant Deed on March 31, 2008. Acceptance of the Grant Deed and the recording of said document with the Certificate of Acceptance, will enable the County to complete the currently planned improvements, as well as any future roadway improvements to widen Silva Valley Parkway.

Reason for Recommendation:
The land rights being secured are necessary in order to construct the improvements to the inlet of the culvert, and for future widening of Silva Valley Parkway.
