Background:

Reason for Recommendation:
Public utility easements as shown on the Cameron Park North Unit No. 4 final map were irrevocably offered in perpetuity to the County of El Dorado in March of 1965 and accepted by the Board of Supervisors in May of 1965.  Public utility easements shown on the Cameron Park North Unit No. 5 final map were irrevocably offered in perpetuity to the County of El Dorado in September of 1967 and accepted by the Board of Supervisors in September of 1967.

An application has been submitted by Merrychase LLC, a California limited liability company, owner of Lots 3 and 4 of Cameron Park North Unit No. 4, and Lots 7 and 8 of Cameron Park North Unit No. 5, requesting that the County of El Dorado Board of Supervisors vacate public utility easements that are located along the side and rear boundary lines of Lots 3, 7, and 8, and along the rear and westerly boundary line of Lot 4, identified as Assessor's Parcel Numbers 082-381-03, 082-381-04, 082-412-09 and 082-412-10.  Said easements are more particularly described in Exhibit A and depicted in Exhibit B, and as described in Exhibit A-1 and depicted in Exhibit B-1, and as described in Exhibit A-2 and depicted in Exhibit B-2, and as described in Exhibit A-3 and depicted in Exhibit B-3 of the attached Resolution.

The subject properties are located on the corner of Merrychase Drive and Cameo Drive, north of US Highway 50 and east of Cambridge Road, in Cameron Park. Said action is necessary to accommodate planned development on the subject lots.

All utility companies that could be impacted by this vacation have provided the Department of Transportation with written notification that they have no facilities within the subject areas and have no objection to the proposed abandonment.  All other existing easements will remain.  The Department of Transportation's staff has reviewed the request and has no objection.

Action to be taken following Board approval:
1)  Said Resolution will be recorded.

2)  A copy of the recorded Resolution will be sent to the property owners.

3)  A Certificate of Correction may be recorded.
