Human Services Department, Community Services Division, recommending Director of said Department be authorized to sign Vendor Agreement with Del Oro Caregiver Resource Center for reimbursement to the Senior Day Care Program for respite services provided during the period July 1, 2008 through June 30, 2009; and Director of said Department be authorized to sign subsequent amendments thereto, that do not affect the term or the dollar amount, contingent upon approval by County Counsel and Risk Management.
RECOMMENDED ACTION: Approve.

Fiscal Impact/Change to Net County Cost: None. The reimbursement rate of $46 per day covers the entire cost of providing services. There is no maximum annual reimbursement amount. However, usage is estimated at $20,000 and included in the Department's Proposed Budget for FY 2008-09.
Background: Del Oro Caregiver Resource Center receives annual funding from the State Department of Mental Health, which enables them to reimburse counties in their region, including El Dorado County, for respite services to their eligible clients. A number of Senior Day Care clients are DCRC eligible, and the cooperative contractual arrangement, first established in 1989-90, benefits both the Program and the clients.
Reason for Recommendation:
The Del Oro Caregiver Resource Center (DCRC) provides $46 per day funding per person for respite care as provided by this Department's Senior Day Care Program. This "Vendor Agreement" is the contract that allows for reimbursement to the County for services to eligible Del Oro clients during fiscal year 2008-09. Copies of the Blue Route and Vendor Agreement are attached and on file with the Board Clerk.
