Background: SB 1064 provides provide for state allocations with respect to property tax revenue reductions from a reassessment for the 2007-08 fiscal year due to the Angora Fire.  The Assessor's Office estimates $64.5 million in decreased assessments due to the Angora Fire in fiscal year 2007-08. This translates into a general fund loss of $161,000.
 
Action to be taken following Board approval: The Chief Administrative Office will forward the attached letter to the relevant recipients and continue to monitor the progress of the bill through the Legislature
