Background: Laura Gill, Chief Administrative Officer, County of El Dorado, submitted her resignation May 14, 2008, with her last day set for June 13, 2008. A recruitment to expedite the filling of this vacancy was directed by the Board.
Reason for Recommendation: In Closed Session, May 20, 2008, Human Resources was directed to amend the current classification specifications for the position of Chief Administrative Officer. The recommendations were made to better define the Minimum Qualifications of this position. These amendments would provide Human Resources with the ability to screen applicants to certify only those with the experience and education as outlined in the amended classification specifications.
Action to be taken following Board approval: Human Resources will post amended job specification for the position of Chief Administration Officer to the current recruitment and utilize Minimum Qualifications to screen applicants.
