The University of California Cooperative Extension recommending Chairman be authorized to sign Amendment No. 1 to Agreement No. 2007-ELDO-01 with The Regents of the University of California on behalf of the Division of Agriculture and Natural Resources reducing the amount from $68,312 to $40,730 for the term October 1, 2007 through June 30, 2008 for the management and coordination of educational programs relating to the Master Gardener and Master Food Preserver Programs.
RECOMMENDED ACTION: Approve.

Fiscal Impact/Change to Net County Cost: Reduction of $27,582.00
Reason for Recommendation:The original agreement was for $68,312.00 for UCCE Program Representative salary and benefits. To realize a budget reduction for UCCE the time of the program representative was reduced and funding level reduced to $40,730.00. The University of California has requested that we document the reduction in funding for their records.
Action to be taken following Board approval: The Chief Administrative Officer to sign the two original amendments keeping one signed copy and returning the other signed copy to the UCCE Department attention to Nancy Starr.
