Chief Administrative Office recommending the Board adopt the Final Draft Response to the 2007-08 Grand Jury Final Report Part 2; and Chairman be authorized to sign and submit the Response to the Presiding Judge of the Superior Court.

Background: The Board received and filed the Initial Draft Response to the Grand Jury Final Report Part 2 on June 3, 2008 without changes. The Final report includes several reports for which a Board of Supervisors response is warranted. These reports include Consolidation of Fire Protection Districts, Building C, El Dorado Center, and Sheriff's Building. The Penal Code deadline for submittal to the Judge is July 24, 2008.
The Grand Jury Foreman has been notified of the day and time of this agenda item, and has been given a copy of the Final Draft Response per Board of Supervisors Policy A-11.
A suggested letter to the Presiding Judge is attached to this agenda item.
Action to be taken following Board approval: The Chief Administrative Office will submit the Final Response to the Presiding Judge and distribute copies per Board policy.
