Elections Department recommending the Board approve the results of the official canvass of the June 3, 2008 Statewide Direct Primary Election conducted by the Recorder-Clerk-Registrar of Voters.

Fiscal Impact/Change to Net County Cost: None. Districts will be billed individual costs for their elections. The Registrar of Voters will be reimbursed by said districts.
Background: The results of the votes cast at the Statewide Direct Primary Election held June 3, 2008 were certified on June 13, 2008. A copy of the Statement of Vote is on file in the Office of the Clerk of the Board.
Reason for Recommendation: Elections Code section 15400 states that the governing board shall declare the results of each election held under its jurisdiction.
Action to be taken following Board approval: Registrar of Voters will receive and file.
