Fiscal Impact/Change to Net County Cost: None. Amendment is to correct the term only.

Background: El Dorado County receives funding from the California Department of Alcohol and Drug Programs in support of the OTP in El Dorado County. OTP funds are used to provide services such as residential treatment, support of the EDC drug court model, and structured relapse prevention services for offenders who complete treatment. Agreement 560-S0811 was established to ensure and fund their provision of OTP services.

OTP services are considered entitlements to eligible clients and must be provided to clients upon their request or by court order. Services provided under the Progress House agreement are mandated and FY 2007-08 services began December 1, 2007. The intent was to have the contract in place by December 1, 2007, or to establish an agreement retroactive to this date. However, Article II, Term, in Agreement for services 560-S0811 (683-PHD1107) was inadvertently written to read "This Agreement is upon final signature and shall continue through June 30, 2008.” Final signature did not occur until January 7, 2008.
