Chief Administrative Office recommending the Board receive and file the Initial Draft Response to the 2007-2008 Grand Jury Final Report Part 3, and provide responses regarding changes to include with the Final Draft Response.
Body
Background: Part 3 of the Grand Jury's Final Report includes several reports for which a Board of Supervisors response is warranted. These reports include Use of El Dorado County Vehicles, Emergency Permits in the Development Services Department, Audit of Human Services and Mental Health Medi-Cal Revenues, El Dorado County Procurement Department, and Victim Restitution.  The Penal Code deadline for submittal to the Judge is September 23, 2008.
 
The Grand Jury Foreman has been notified of the day and time of this agenda item, and has been given a copy of the Initial Draft Response per Board of Supervisors Policy A-11.
 
Action to be taken following Board approval: Following the direction of the Board, the Chief Administrative Office will work with the appropriate departments to prepare a Final Draft response to the Grand Jury report.
