Fiscal Impact/Change to Net County Cost: Election costs will be billed to the individual districts.
 
Background: Whenever two or more elections, including bond elections, of any public district, county or other political subdivision are called to be held on the same day, in the same territory or in a territory that is part of the same, they may be consolidated pursuant to California Elections Code Sec. 10400/10401 upon the order of the governing body calling the elections.
 
Reason for Recommendation: Code section 10401 states that the Board of Supervisors may order the consolidation with the statewide election.
 
Action to be taken following Board approval: Elections Department will receive and file.
