Background: The "Georgetown Founder's Day" event is an annual craft, food, parade, and music fair, sponsored by the Georgetown Divide Recreation District.  Requested road closures are for the safety of the participants, volunteers and spectators during the fair.
 
Reason for Recommendation: The Department of Transportation is recommending Board approval of the proposed Resolution for the safety and success of this community event.  Other involved agencies have made no objection to this closure.
 
Action to be taken following Board approval: The roads listed in the Resolution will be closed on Sunday, September 21, 2008, between 7:00 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. for the "Georgetown Founder's Day" event.
