Background: The Georgetown "Safe Halloween", sponsored by the Georgetown Divide Recreation District, is an annual event providing a safe designated area for "Trick or Treat" activities.  The requested road closures are for the safety of the participants, volunteers and children during the event.
 
Reason for Recommendation: The Department of Transportation is recommending Board approval of the closure to allow for the safety and success of this community event.  Other involved agencies have made no objections to this closure.
 
Action to be taken following Board approval: The roads named in the Resolution will be closed on Friday, October 31, 2008, between 5:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. for the 2008 Georgetown "Safe Halloween" event.
