Chief Administrative Office recommending the Board of Supervisors adopt the Final Response to the 2007-08 Grand Jury Final Report Part 3 and authorize submittal of the Response to the Presiding Judge of the Superior Court.

Background: Background: Part 3 of the Grand Jury's Final Report includes several reports for which a Board of Supervisors response is warranted. These reports include Use of El Dorado County Vehicles, Emergency Permits in the Development Services Department, Audit of Human Services and Mental Health Medi-Cal Revenues, El Dorado County Procurement Department, and Victim Restitution. The Board adopted the Initial Draft Response on August 19 without amendment.
A proposed transmittal letter to the Presiding Judge is attached to this agenda item.
The Grand Jury Foreman has been notified of the day and time of this agenda item, and has been given a copy of the Final Draft Response per Board of Supervisors Policy A-11.
Reason for Recommendation: The Penal Code deadline for submittal to the Judge is September 23, 2008.
Action to be taken following Board approval: The Chief Administrative Office will submit the Final Response to the Presiding Judge and provide copies to the Grand Jury, affected departments and all county libraries per Board Policy A-11.
