Fiscal Impact/Change to Net County Cost: No Change to net county cost.  The cost to fund this agreement has been included in the Department of Transportation budget.

Reason for Recommendation:  The e-Civis Grant Locator System has been used in the County since 2005.  e-Civis is a comprehensive web based system that allows users to research, track and apply for Federal, State and Foundation grants.  The primary users of the system in the County have been Department of Transportation, Human Services although many other County departments have access to the system.

This annual renewal is for the term 11-1-08 through 10-31-09.  We have negotiated a reduced price with a savings of 53% if the agreement is received by October 2, 2008.  Prior to negotiation, the cost for this renewal was quoted at $15,890 for a one year extension.  With Board approval a signed agreement will be forwarded to e-Civis to lock in the reduced pricing.

Action to be taken following Board approval:
1.  Board Chair to sign two copies of Amendment IV
2.  Clerk to forward two signed copies to the Chief Administrative Office
3.  Chief Administrative Office will forward one signed copy to e-Civis
4.  Chief Administrative Office will work with Department of Transportation to initiate payment to e-Civis
