Background:

Reason for Recommendation:  SLESF funds are received from the State in accordance with AB 3229, Chapter 134 that added GC 30061 through 30065.  The State funds are distributed to the counties based on population and distributed to Jail, District Attorney, Sheriff, and cities based on a formula specified in GC 30061.  Government Code 30063 subdivision (c) requires a public report showing allocations from the county's Supplemental Law Enforcement Fund be filed with the Board of Supervisors, Law Enforcement Oversight Committee (SLEOC), Sheriff and Police Chiefs.

Attached is a report for the fiscal year 2007/2008 showing the allocations to each entity and the annual report submitted to the State Controller.
