Fiscal Impact/Change to Net County Cost:  There is no change in Net County Cost.  If approved by the State, the Department will bring back the appropriate budget adjustments.  There is no matching requirement for this Grant.
Background:  The California Integrated Waste Management Board (CIWMB) offers the Tire-Derived Product (TDP) Grant Program to promote markets for recycled-content products derived from waste tires generated in California and decrease the adverse environmental impacts created by unlawful disposal and stockpiling of waste tires.
Reason for Recommendation:  This grant is to help divert waste tires from landfill disposal as well as eliminating the stockpiling of waste tires.  The Environmental Management Department will partner with the El Dorado County Fair 501c organization for this grant opportunity.  If awarded, the funds will be used to supply and install tire-derived asphalt at the El Dorado County Fairgrounds.

Action to be taken following Board approval:  Forward the executed resolution to the Environmental Management Department for submittal with the grant application.
