Background: The Environmental Management Department has requested revisions to the current classification specifications for Air Quality Specialist I/II and Senior Air Quality Specialist.

Reason for Recommendation:  It is necessary to review and modify classification specifications in order to maintain the County's classification plan.  After reviewing these classification specifications, it is necessary to make changes.  The proposed revisions update the classification specifications to reflect the current duties and requirements of the classifications, and to specifically include language about fugitive dust and naturally occurring asbestos.

Action to be taken following Board approval:  The Human Resources Department will update the classification file for this classification specification.
