Human Resources Department, Risk Management Division, recommending the Chairman be authorized to sign Amendment to Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the California State Association of Counties (CSAC) Excess Insurance Authority (EIA) for participation in the CSAC EIA property insurance program.
RECOMMENDED ACTION: Approve.

Fiscal Impact/Change to Net County Cost: None.
Reason for Recommendation:
While the County is self-insured for general liability, the property program is fully-insured through the CSAC-EIA. The EIA has amended the MOU for the property insurance program as a result of an EIA restructure to incorporate public entity non-County members into the program and to create uniformity with other EIA documents. The changes to the MOU are not substantive and have been reviewed and approved by County Counsel.
Action to be taken following Board approval: The signed amendment will be forwarded to CSAC-EIA before the November 1, 2008, deadline, thus ensuring El Dorado County's continued participation in the Property Insurance Program.
