Background: The Board executed Agreement #251-S0711 with Renne, Sloan, Holtzman & Sakai for "as needed" legal services related to matters involving PERB.  The total amount of the contract was not to exceed $25,000, with an amendment of $10,000 and extension of Agreement for one year.  With the first amendment to the Agreement, the total not to exceed for the two-year period was increased to $35,000.  This second amendment will extend the Agreement for one additional year, and increase compensation by $25,000.
 
The Agreement has been approved by County Counsel and Risk Management and a copy is on file with the Board Clerk.
 
Action to be taken following Board approval: The Board Clerk will return one fully executed original to Human Resources for distribution and administration.
