Fiscal Impact/Change to Net County Cost:
These consultant services will support projects that are funded by the 2004 General Plan Traffic Impact Mitigation Fee Program. The Department has sufficient revenues budgeted in those accounts to fund this Agreement.

There is no net cost to the County General Fund associated with this agenda item.

Reason for Recommendation:
This Agreement is necessary to complete improvements along the Highway 50 corridor in order to meet the current and future transportation needs of the County’s residents as well as commercial and industrial users. These improvements, valued at over $270 million, include interchange improvements at 7 freeway interchanges and the addition of HOV lanes from the county line to the proposed Casino Interchange just west of Greenstone Road.
