Fiscal Impact/Change to Net County Cost: Total grant funds from the State for PHCA Grant in FY 2006-07 will be less than what is currently budgeted.  Currently, $92,800 is budgeted.  The actual amount funded by the grant is $87,000.  There is no impact to Net County Cost.  The amount of services provide in FY 2006-07 will be reduced to match the actual grant funding.

Background: At their meeting on February 13, 2007, the Board of Supervisors approved an amendment to the PHCA agreement with the State, increasing grant funds in FY 2006-07 by $12,000.  However, the Department had anticipated and budgeted an amendment increasing grant funds by $17,800.  Because the amendment came in $5,800 less than anticipated, the Department has prepared a budget transfer to realign revenues and appropriations with the actual grant funded amount for the budget period of 7/1/06 through 6/30/07.

Reason for Recommendation: This Budget Transfer reduces the amount of revenue from the PHCA grant and related appropriations in the Department's budget.

Action to be taken following Board approval: Chair to sign attached Budget Transfer Request; Board Clerk's Office to forward Budget Transfer to Auditor's office for posting.
