Fiscal Impact/Change to Net County Cost: This amendment adds $20,000 to this agreement for the current fiscal year, of which $10,000 is being budgeted in the HRSA Bioterrrorism Hospital Prepredness Program and $10,000 is for pandemic flu training preparedness activities. This budget transfer request also includes a revenue increase of $39,000, which should have been budgeted in FY 2006-07 but was not included during the normal budget process. The Department had a significant carryover amount of Bioterrorism grant funding from the previous year and had not clearly identified a use for those funds. The Department has since identified a use for this funding. There is no net County cost.

Background: Alpine County has a need for administrative support services, on a part-time basis, to develop and coordinate activities in the preparation of its HRSA program. Through the Public Health Department Disaster Preparedness Division, El Dorado County has made, and shall continue to make, available the employee, who currently provides support services to its own HRSA Program. This contract with Alpine County automatically renews each subsequent county fiscal year until funding is withdrawn by Alpine.
