Fiscal Impact/Change to Net County Cost: This agreement provides 12 months of maintenance for a total of $25,507.65 for the term. Funding is included in Public Health's current FY 2006-07 budget. Term of agreement may be automatically extended for a 12-month period for an additional $25,507.65 plus up to a five percent (5.00%) increase.

Reason for Recommendation: The Public Health Department contracted with QS Technology to replace its old DOS-based clinic management software with a fully integrated system entitled Insight-"Software for Public Health Clinic Management." The Department had planned and budgeted to continue the associated software maintenance and upgrade agreement for another year, automatically renewing April 1, 2007; however QS Technology was acquired by Netsmart and, therefore, prompted a need for the County to enter into a new agreement. This new agreement is identical to the old contract with QS Technology, the only change being an increased (6.3%) first-year fee. It is retroactive to April 1, 2007 due to late receipt of contract documents from Netsmart.
