Fiscal Impact/Change to Net County Cost: Compensation to Progress House, Inc. will be increased by $110,726 for FY 2006-07. Contracts with Tahoe Youth & Family Services and EDCA Lifeskills will be amended to clarify compensation language so that they can be reimbursed appropriately for services rendered. The Board approved a State allocation increase of $143,829 on May 8, 2007 to the Alcohol and Drug Treatment component for FY 2006-07, which will be applied to Progress House. There is no net County cost.

Background: Public Health receives funding through a multi-year Agreement with the State to provide alcohol and drug treatment and prevention services. Funding is then contracted out to local agencies to provide treatment to El Dorado County residents. Public Health tracks treatment provider expenditures throughout the year and makes adjustments as necessary to insure that funding received from the State is fully expended. Public Health has also received an additional $143,829 to our allocation from the State, which was reviewed and approved by the Board on May 8, 2007.
