Fiscal Impact/Change to Net County Cost: Funding is from the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) and Blue Shield of California grants. This amount is present in the proposed fiscal year 07/08 budget. There is no net County cost.

Reason for Recommendation: Sandra Dunn and Associates has been supporting the goals of the ACCEL Initiative by providing project management services for several years. During that time, significant progress has been made in the effort to establish an electronic health record and patient identifier system in El Dorado County. Sandra Dunn is working closely with Department staff, Barton Memorial Hospital, Marshall Medical Center, EDC Department of Mental Health and the El Dorado Community Health Center to complete this project while managing the various grants and funding sources to ensure the continuance of this work.

This current agreement will expire on June 30, 2007. However, the Department continues to need these services and does not want to interrupt the work that is underway. This amendment extends the term an additional year and increases the compensation amount accordingly.
